1st Basic Workshop on “Education Technologies in Medical Education” for teachers of AMC MET Dental College

1^st Basic Workshop on “Education Technologies in Medical Education” for teachers of AMC MET Dental College was conducted by MCI Regional Centre for Faculty Development on March 12^th and 13^th, 2014 at the college premises. The teaching staff of AMC Dental College were sensitised about new concepts in teaching and assessment methods with an objective to improve the quality of medical training by training the teachers. Through group discussions, group activity, lectures and a microteaching session, the training included knowledge of group dynamics, the learning process, curriculum development, educational objectives, teaching-learning methods for large and small groups and the optimum use of media in education. Development of teaching skills by microteaching sessions and of structured objective theory and practical assessment methods along with importance of effective feedback were stressed upon. Overall, it was an engaging and informative two  days of interaction that was a welcome stimulus for the quality of education at AMC MET Dental College, Ahmedabad.
