1.  Digital Orthodontics

Department of orthodontics has infrastructure to implement latest and world class- technology to provide best orthodontic care to patients. We are well equipped with advance diagnostic aids such as 2D & 3D Dolphin imaging software for digital treatment planning and treatment simulation. The presence of 3D intra-oral scanner and printer along with 3D CBCT makes the perfect place to learn latest and best advances in all branches of dentistry including orthodontics.

2. Centre for Cleft Orthodontics

There is lack of centre treating patients with cleft lip and palate and craniofacial anomalies in Western India. Department of Orthodontics at AMC Dental College has developed centre for cleft orthodontics and to treat these children with special orthodontic needs and more than 300 cleft patients are currently undergoing various types of orthodontic treatment which includes, naso-alveolar molding, treatment in mixed dentition and permanent dentition along with cleft surgeries including distraction osteogenesis. Cleft orthodontics is an integral part of post-graduate training where in all post graduates are trained to treat and manage these complex cases.

3. Orthognathic Surgeries

Being the tertiary centre for dental excellence, the Department of Orthodontics regularly receives numerous patients with moderate to severe skeletal discrepancies. Hence, the post graduate are trained in orthodontic surgical treatment planning as department treat these patients along with collaboration from department of oral surgery.
